Creator Terms

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you publish a Spark to the Synect marketplace, in addition to our Terms of Service. Publishing is currently free and unpaid; if you don't publish Sparks, these terms don't affect you.

2. Your responsibilities as a creator

• Your listing (name, description, instructions) must accurately describe what the Spark does.
• Your Spark must comply with the acceptable-use rules in the Terms of Service — no prohibited practices under Article 5 of the EU AI Act, and no high-risk uses within Annex III (for example candidate screening or credit eligibility).
• You must not remove, obscure, or disable the platform's AI disclosures or content marking in any surface you control.
• If you substantially modify the underlying system and offer it under your own name or trademark outside Synect, you may become its provider under the EU AI Act — those obligations are yours.

3. Moderation, removal, and your right to reasons

Users can report Sparks; we review reports and may hide or remove a listing. If we restrict, suspend, or remove your Spark, we will email you a statement of reasons. Except where we must act immediately (illegal content, repeated violations, a legal obligation, or a serious safety risk), we give 30 days' notice before terminating your access to the marketplace. You can respond to hello@synect.ai and we will review restorations in good faith.

4. Changes to these terms

We give at least 15 days' notice by email before changes to these terms take effect — longer where you reasonably need time to adapt your Sparks. If you disagree with a change, you may unpublish your Sparks before it takes effect.

5. How marketplace ranking works

Marketplace listings are ordered primarily by recency and usage signals (such as how recently a Spark was published or updated and how much it is used). There is no paid placement and no paid ranking of any kind. If the main ranking parameters change materially, we will update this section and notify creators per section 4.

6. Trader or private individual

EU consumer law requires marketplaces to show whether a listing comes from a trader (acting for business purposes) or a private individual — and, for non-traders, to note that EU consumer-protection rights do not apply to that contract. You will be asked to declare your status when creator monetization launches; the declaration is shown on your listings.

7. Monetization (not yet live)

Creator payouts are not yet available. When monetization launches, payment terms — including Stripe Connect onboarding, revenue shares, and platform tax reporting under DAC7 — will be added to these terms with the section-4 notice period. Publishing today creates no payment entitlement.
