Refunds & Cancellation

Last updated: July 5, 2026

1. Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel your subscription yourself at any time in Settings → Billing in the app — no email, call, or notice period required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period: you keep full access until then, and you are not charged again.

We do not refund the remainder of a partly used billing period on a pro-rata basis, except where applicable law requires otherwise or where the 14-day withdrawal right below applies. The full billing terms are in section 10 of our Terms of Service.

2. The 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA (buying for personal use, not for a trade, business, or profession), you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of making it, without giving any reason.

Synect is a digital service, so there is one important mechanic: at checkout you agree to our terms and request immediate access — you expressly consent to us supplying the service straight away, during the withdrawal period. In plain terms, that means:

  • Credit top-ups (one-off digital content): once we have supplied the credit and supply has begun, the withdrawal right for that purchase is lost.
  • Subscriptions: if you withdraw within 14 days, before the period you paid for has been fully performed, you pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the moment you told us you were withdrawing, and we refund the rest. If the service has already been fully performed within the 14 days, the right is lost.

Outside those situations, withdrawing within 14 days gets you a full refund of the purchase.

3. How to request a refund or withdrawal

Email hello@synect.ai from (or including) the email address on your Synect account, and tell us what you bought and that you want to withdraw or request a refund. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to.

We will respond within 14 days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe; depending on your bank, the money typically appears within 5–10 business days of the refund being issued.

4. Model withdrawal form

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you may use this model form (based on Annex I(B) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive):

“To SYNECT LIMITED, hello@synect.ai: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the provision of the following service — [service, e.g. Creator subscription or €20 credit top-up], ordered on [date]. Name: [your name]. Email: [your account email]. Date: [today's date].”

5. Statutory rights, governing law and who we are

Nothing on this page limits or replaces the rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, including your statutory remedies for digital content and digital services that are not supplied or not in conformity with the contract.

This page and our Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Ireland; section 19 of the Terms sets out how disputes are handled and the venue rights EU and UK consumers retain.

The service is provided by SYNECT LIMITED (CRO 814346; VAT No. IE 4734166RH), incorporated in Dublin, Ireland. Contact: hello@synect.ai.
